Question:
I am looking for a replacement part for an early 60's JC Penney lawn tractor, 6 HP, 26" cutting bar. I determined that this was originally manufactured by Huffman.
The part I need is called the Lower Clutch Pulley, and looks more like a spindle pulley. I can give the Penney part number and model number if it helps.
Answers:
The mower that you have is not manufactured by Huffman, but E.T. Rugg of Newark, OH.
Let me guess....you saw the Huffman tag riveted to the chain guard that is bolted to the tranny. I thought the same thing the first time that I saw one. I'm assuming that they manufactured the tranny.
I have a 1967-1973 E.T. Rugg Service Manual that has an exploded parts view of your mower.
Thanks, Jay
